The company has a team of highly competitive professionals having expertise in their respective fields like Automotive marketing, Institutional sales, Food & Beverages, Sourcing, Finance, etc. The Group, as per its policy, attracts and retains expertise and talent from not only East Africa but also from other parts of the world.

Hereunder is a brief profile of the Top Management under whose able guidance the Group is being steered on its growth trajectory:

Yusuf Manji, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

He is a graduate in Business Administration and he had his collegiate education at Switzerland and USA. He has hands-on experience in managing diverse industries and businesses and has been holding the position of CEO since 1995. He is at the pinnacle of the organization and manages the entire operations of the Group through a well planned organization structure occupied by a team of dedicated professionals.

He has the vision and an immense capacity to be able to oversee such a vastly diversified conglomerate, successfully. He has an innate sense of identifying the right business opportunities at the right time, resulting in the group’s exponential growth.

Rakesh Mehta, Chief Operating Officer (COO)

As Chief Operating Officer, Rakesh is heading operations of the entire Group. Managing Director or Head of every Unit of the Group reports to him on their business operations. He navigates key business corporate strategies for the Group. He also ensure that the core business processes are in place and working effectively. effectively.

Rakesh is a ranked Chartered Accountant from India and a University topper with 16 years of working experience. He is an avid cricketer and enjoys playing chess.

Rajiv has to his credit over 25 years of experience in Finance and General Management, enriched in many continents and countries, including India, New Zealand, Africa, Russia, USA and Middle-east. He has worked in different environs i.e. both private and public sectors, MNCs, medium and large organizations, parastatals and Crown entities. His experience spans a wide spectrum of service-oriented and manufacturing/processing industries viz. management consultancy, auditing, banking, advertising, hotels & hospitality, travel & tourism, manufacturing and marketing of footwear and accessories, healthcare, education, FMCG and large diversified conglomerates (including new, green-field projects).

Rajiv is proficient in strategic management, designing and developing operational MIS, monitoring efficiency, overseeing and analyzing business plans, undertaking business and manpower restructuring. The entire gamut of his responsibilities has almost always included Human Resources & Management, Recruitment, Administration, for which he is directly responsible, currently as well; besides his role as the group’s Finance Head. He describes his open management style as 'Management with a human face'.

Rajiv's rich professional experience is backed by a strong academic background in chartered accountancy, commerce and an MBA. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and has had the opportunity to hone and whet his skills in management consultancy with Price Waterhouse. His MBA with dual specialisations in personnel management and marketing, coupled with engineering subjects in school and B.Tech., in the first year from BITS, Pilani; endows him with a rounded personality in the four pillars of an organization viz. HR/Admin, Finance/Accounts, Sales/Marketing, and Production/Manufacturing.

S.Vaasudhevan, Executive Director (ED)

Vaasu, as referred commonly, is a Post Graduate in Commerce, life member of Indian Institute of Bankers, Cost Accountant, India, and Certified Management Accountant, USA, and has rich experience in various positions in a wide spectrum of industries over the last 25 years, of which over a decade has been particularly in East Africa. He has been in the senior management of the Group for nearly a decade and has earlier held several senior positions in the Group.

With his vast experience in procurement, he has made noteworthy contributions in establishing the Commercial Division of the group wherein institutional and bulk businesses are handled via government tenders. His expertise in banking has come handy in strengthening the banking relationships of the Group. Currently, Vaasu is attached to the Chairman’s office and is in charge of special projects including realty projects of the Group.

Shantaram Hegdekatte, Managing Director (MD)

He is a seasoned marketing professional and has a rich background of over two decades of wealthy experience in institutional sales and marketing, of a highly diversified portfolio of products ranging from vehicles to infrastructural items to apparels to commodities, within and outside Africa. He is responsible for certain institutional and specialized sect oral sales domains of the group.

Having completed his graduation in science, his post-graduation has been from the top most business management institute in India (IIM-Ahmedabad)

Alfred Sunder Xavier, Managing Director (MD)

He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and is a University Rank Holder. He has two decades of Global experience in Marketing and Business Development. He is an extrovert with an aggressive attitude. He has been awarded the India’s prestigious award ‘Rashtriya Rattan Award’ in the year 2003 for his research in Indian Herbal Medicines.

He is heading Foods & Beverages Division of the Group & is based at Mwanza for close monitoring of fisheries plant.

Kamal Daluka, Director - Finance

He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Institute of Internal Auditors, Florida, USA. He has a vast experience of more than two decades in various industries. He has handled various functionalities in his previous assignments viz Finance, Accounts, MIS, Budgeting, Internal Audit, Taxation, Procurement, IT, legal matters, HR & Administration, & Foreign Trade.

He is heading Finance, Accounts, Procurement (except for Tenders Division) at Head Office from where they are centrally controlled.
